Acavya

How does Acavya handle homework, lesson plans and learning materials?

Acavya lets a teacher create homework in about a minute on a phone with an AI-use rule per task, collects photo, PDF or text submissions with version history, keeps lesson plans and daily class logs, and shows syllabus coverage per section against the plan.

Who is it for, and what hurts today?

  • Subject teacher: 200 notebooks a week and homework typed into three places.
  • Class teacher: homework announced in a WhatsApp group that half the parents miss.
  • Principal: students using free AI tools at home and no policy, and no view of whether the syllabus is actually being covered.
  • Parent: not knowing what homework is due until the child says so.

What can it do?

  • Available now: A curriculum map from board to class, subject, unit, chapter, topic and learning outcome, seeded from public CBSE 2026-27 outlines with the source recorded. It includes NCF competencies and the CBSE Computational Thinking and AI strands for Classes 3 to 8. You can edit it or build your own for ICSE, a state board, IB, Cambridge, your own curriculum or coaching programmes.
  • Available now: Lesson plans from templates with an AI draft, an approval step and links to curriculum nodes.
  • Available now: A daily class log linked to the timetable period that feeds syllabus coverage per section or batch against the plan.
  • Available now: Homework for a class, section, batch or group with attachments, a due date and a rubric. Each task carries an AI-use policy: allowed, allowed with disclosure or not allowed.
  • Available now: Submission by photo, PDF or text with a version history as process evidence, late rules, grading and feedback and parent visibility.
  • Available now: Study materials such as notes, links, videos and live-class recordings tagged to curriculum nodes and shown by class or batch.
  • Available now: A similarity check among submissions (there is no AI-detector score), a viva or oral check scheduler, an in-class writing mode that is time-boxed in the app, and a CT&AI activity bank with a teaching-hours tracker.
  • Available now: A teacher CPD hours log.

What does the AI do here, and who approves it?

  • Lesson-plan drafts aligned to your curriculum nodes, NEP pedagogy and CT&AI strands, in English or Hindi; the teacher saves them.
  • Worksheet levelling into easy, medium and hard and English to Hindi translation.
  • Homework feedback drafts that the teacher edits before a student sees them.
  • There is no AI-detector score. Acavya relies on process evidence, similarity checks and a viva instead.

How does it work?

How does Acavya handle homework, lesson plans and learning materials?

  1. Create

Pick the class and chapter, attach material and choose the AI-use rule.

  2. Notify

Parents see it in the app and in the WhatsApp digest.

  3. Collect

Students submit a photo, PDF or text; each version is kept.

  4. Give feedback

Grade with a rubric or accept an AI draft of feedback, then release it.

Does it work in Hindi, offline and on WhatsApp?

  • Homework notices go in Hindi or English on WhatsApp, and a teacher can create a task from a phone in about 60 seconds.
  • Photo submissions work on low-end phones; the PWA stores drafts and uploads when the connection returns.
  • Hindi question text and mathematics display correctly.

What can it not do?

  • A rubric and a viva cannot replace a teacher reading the reasoning in a notebook.
  • Syllabus coverage depends on teachers filling the class log; it is only as accurate as the log.
  • Curriculum outlines come from public documents and should be checked by your coordinator.

Can I forbid AI on a given homework?

Yes. Each task sets a rule of allowed, allowed with disclosure or not allowed, shown to students and parents.

Does Acavya detect AI-written homework?

No. We do not use an AI-detector score. We keep version history, offer similarity checks and support in-class writing and vivas.

Will parents see homework on WhatsApp?

Yes, in the app and in the WhatsApp digest.
