Acavya

Can one Acavya account run a school and a coaching centre together?

Yes, one Acavya tenant can hold a school and a coaching institute with separate fee rules, GST treatment and ledgers, shared staff who hold different roles in each, and a single family login so a parent sees every child across both, with the plan assigned per batch.

A trust runs a 600-student school on any board and a coaching wing for Classes 9 to 12 and JEE or NEET, sharing buildings, some teachers and many families.

Which Acavya modules matter most here?

What would it cost?

A trust with 600 school students and 300 coaching students has 900 peak active students, so it is on the Scale plan and pays ₹29,999 a year before GST, or ₹35,398.82 with GST, for both the school and the coaching centre together.

The price is the same whether the online coaching batches use your own Zoom or Meet or the built-in classroom, which includes 600 student-hours a month. See the pricing page.

What is the compliance angle?

  • School education fees are exempt and coaching fees carry GST in the default fee rule. It is configurable, and a trust that runs both should confirm the treatment, bundled charges and registration with its CA. See the GST guide.
  • Coaching rule packs apply to the coaching institute only, and school board rules to the school.
  • A coaching centre may not count as an educational institution under the DPDP exemption, so consent is the default for anything beyond core education and safety in the coaching tenant.
  • The institute brand comes first for parents, and "Powered by" is off by default.

Can a teacher work in both institutes?

Yes. One person can hold different roles in different institutes, and access is scoped to each.

Are the books separate?

Yes. Each institute has its own chart of accounts and series, and you can export Tally data for each.

Will parents see two logos?

They see the institute name and logo for the institute they are viewing, with switchers for children and institutes.

Which board can the school follow?

Any of them: CBSE, ICSE, a state board, IB, Cambridge or your own curriculum. The school records its board and sets up its curriculum, and the coaching institute runs its own courses and batches.
